iMPlayer IPTV Player with MoviraTivi: Install, Sign In and Favorite

iMPlayer setup: 12 steps from install to your favorite home channels

1. Install from the right store

   On Android TV, Google TV or an Android phone, search Google Play for iMPlayer TV IPTV Player from HzApps. On iPhone, iPad, Apple TV or Mac, search the App Store for iMPlayer IPTV Player. Check the publisher name, because several unrelated apps and websites use similar names.

2. On Fire TV, sideload the Android version

   iMPlayer is not in the Amazon Appstore at the time of writing. Install the free Downloader app, allow it to install unknown apps in the Fire TV developer options, and fetch the Android build from the developer website. Our Fire TV guide shows the Downloader steps in detail.

3. Open the app and choose Add playlist

   Skip the welcome screens and select Add playlist. You will see the sign-in types the app supports: Xtream Codes, M3U URL and a Stalker or MAG portal option. Choose Xtream Codes; it brings the folders, guide and film library in one go.

4. Enter your MoviraTivi details

   Name the playlist MoviraTivi. Copy the server line character for character, http:// first and the port number last. Then the username and password, watching upper and lower case, and confirm. iMPlayer then downloads the channel list and guide.

5. Wait for the first sync

   The first sync can take a minute or two on a small stick, because the app stores 25,000+ channels and their listings. Let it finish before you scroll. Later launches open from the saved copy and refresh in the background.

6. Open Live TV and pick your country

   Go to the live section and open the category list. MoviraTivi places the USA, Canada and UK folders first, each split into news, networks, sport, kids and entertainment. Spanish-language and international folders follow. Open your home country and play a channel to check it.

7. Add your favorites

   While a channel is selected, press OK and choose the star to add it to favorites. Your favorites then appear as their own group in the channel list. Ten to fifteen everyday channels, such as local news and the networks you follow, keep the list quick.

8. Read the TV guide

   Open the guide view to see a timeline of programs for each folder. If times look shifted, check the time zone on the device. The guide arrives through the Xtream login, so you do not need to add a separate EPG address.

9. Try catch-up on channels that archive

   Channels that keep a short archive show a catch-up marker in the guide. Pick an earlier program to watch it. Archive depth differs per channel, and plenty keep none.

10. Adjust the player if a channel misbehaves

    In the settings, look for the player and decoder options. Hardware decoding is the usual default on TV devices. If one channel shows a black screen with sound, switch decoder for that channel or open another version of it in the same folder.

11. Weigh up iMPlayer Premium

    The free app plays live TV. Premium unlocks extra features such as multi-view, recording and more playlist tools, and which features sit behind it has changed between versions. It is bought from iMPlayer, not from MoviraTivi; we never sell or bundle player licences.

12. Sign in on your other devices

    Put iMPlayer on each further device with the identical login. There is no install cap; your MoviraTivi plan restricts only simultaneous streams, at 1, 2, 3 or 5. Favorites stay on each device unless the app syncs them.

Where to get iMPlayer on each device

iMPlayer is published by HzApps and comes from two official stores, plus a sideload route for Fire TV. Install sources matter: many websites use the iMPlayer name to sell channel bundles, and some offer modified apps with Premium unlocked. Avoid both.

iMPlayer Premium and how it compares with other players

iMPlayer Premium is a paid upgrade to the player. In October 2026 the US App Store listed a Premium Subscription in-app purchase at $24.99, and the US Google Play listing showed in-app items from $19.99 to $34.99. Premium is sold by number of devices, and prices differ by country and change over time, so check inside the app before paying. Premium adds tools; it never adds channels.

Want the developer's own word on menus and versions? Visit the iMPlayer listing on Google Play from HzApps. What a channel carries on a given day follows what its broadcaster sends. Before you pay, use the trial to open the channels you grew up with and check them on your own screen.

Channels pausing in the evening? Five checks that usually fix it

• Connection: use an Ethernet cable, or move closer to the router on 5 GHz Wi-Fi; 2.4 GHz through several walls is the usual weak spot.
• Home traffic: hold off console updates, large downloads and cloud backups while you watch.
• Player: where the app has a buffer setting, raise it one step, and leave hardware decoding on unless a single channel acts up.
• Picture: switch on frame-rate matching if the device has it, so camera pans look smooth.
• Channel: if one copy of a channel stalls, open another copy in the same folder and tell us which one failed.

Common iMPlayer errors and how to fix them

Playlist will not add

Start with the server line: http:// at the front, the port number at the very end, nothing trailing. Type the password with the remote rather than pasting it, then confirm your plan or trial is active.

Live TV is empty after the sync

Refresh the playlist from its menu or remove and add it again. If the folders still do not appear, message MoviraTivi support with a photo of the screen and we check your line.

Black screen with sound

The device cannot decode that version of the channel. Switch decoder in the player settings, or open another version of the same channel in your country folder.

Channels pause in the evening

Switch to a cable or 5 GHz Wi-Fi, reboot the router and delay big downloads. If a single channel is the problem, open its twin in the folder and send us its name.

A feature asks for Premium

That prompt comes from iMPlayer, not from MoviraTivi. Live channels play on the free app. Buy Premium only from inside the app or the developer, never from a site offering an unlocked copy.

The guide shows the wrong times

Check the time zone and clock on the device itself, then refresh the guide. The guide reads the device clock, so one wrong setting moves every listing.

The app will not install on Fire TV

Make sure Downloader is allowed to install unknown apps in the Fire TV developer options. Newer Fire TV models running Vega OS cannot install Android apps at all; those need a different device.
