MoviraTivi on Firestick: 11 steps from install to your favorite home channels

1. Check that your stick runs Fire OS

   Open Settings, then My Fire TV, then About, and look at the software entry. A line reading Fire OS plus a number means outside apps are allowed. If the screen just says OS with a version starting with 1, you have Vega OS, and the steps below will not work on that stick.

2. Switch on developer options

   On that same About screen, click the device name seven times in a row until Fire TV confirms developer mode. Press Back once and a new Developer Options entry is waiting. This changes nothing on your Amazon account and you can switch it off again later.

3. Install Downloader and give it permission

   Search the Appstore for Downloader, the orange app published by AFTVnews, and install it. Inside Developer Options, open Install unknown apps and flip the Downloader switch. Only Downloader gets that permission, so no other app can install things in the background.

4. Install the player you want

   Ask our team on WhatsApp for the Downloader code of the player you prefer. TiViMate looks and behaves like a cable box guide. Smarters keeps things plain with big tiles. iMPlayer offers a clean layout with catch-up and a full guide. Enter the code, press Go, confirm the install and delete the leftover file when asked.

5. Enter the Xtream Codes login

   Launch the player and look for Xtream Codes, which some apps label Xtream API. Copy the server address character for character, from http:// through to the port number after the colon. Add your username and password with the same capital letters. Label the playlist MoviraTivi.

6. Let the first load run to the end

   On the first launch the player downloads every channel folder, the program guide and, if you allow it, the 120,000+ movies and series. An older stick may need three minutes, so put the remote down until the bar completes. After this first sync, the app only fetches changes and opens quickly.

7. Open your home-country folders

   Go to the live channel groups. Folders are labeled by country first, so the USA, Canada and UK groups sit apart, with news, entertainment, kids and sport split inside each. Canadian folders cover both English and French channels. Spanish-language and other international folders follow further down the list.

8. Favorite the channels you actually watch

   Pick ten or so channels you would reach for at home: your local news, the main networks, a kids channel, a sport channel. Hold Select on each and add it to favorites. From now on the Favorites group opens straight to your own short lineup instead of thousands of entries.

9. Tidy the list and set playback

   In TiViMate, hide groups you will never open under Settings, Playlists, Manage groups. If a channel stutters, raise Settings, Playback, Buffer size by one step. On the stick itself, switch Match Original Frame Rate on (Display and Sounds, then Display) so 50 and 60 frame channels both look fluid.

10. Give the stick a steady connection

    The Amazon Ethernet adapter is the single best upgrade for live channels. Without one, pick your 5 GHz network over 2.4 GHz and use the short HDMI extender so the stick hangs clear of the TV. A restart every few days, from My Fire TV, Restart, keeps memory fresh.

11. Add a second TV or phone

    The same login works on other screens. Install any player on a phone, tablet or second TV and enter the same details. How many stream together depends on your plan, which covers one, two, three or five screens. Each device stores its own favorites, so every room keeps a separate short list.

Fire OS or Vega OS: check your stick before you start

Fire TV hardware is now split between two systems, and that split decides whether this guide applies to you. Fire OS models run Android underneath and let you add players with Downloader. Vega OS models run a newer Amazon system that only installs apps listed in the Amazon Appstore. When we checked in October 2026, none of the players we recommend was offered for Vega OS.

Picking a player on Fire TV

All three players open the same MoviraTivi lineup, so the choice is about how you like to browse. Finding home on a big lineup

The 25,000+ live channels are sorted by country first. Viewers in the States start with the folders described on our IPTV USA page. Canadians will find English and French channels on the IPTV Canada page, and UK viewers can read the IPTV UK page. Local channels cover a selection of markets, not every station, so look for yours on the 24-hour free trial first and choose a plan afterwards.

Where the country folders and favorites sit on Firestick

Software updates sometimes rename these menus. Treat the paths as directions, and if your screen shows a slightly different word, pick the nearest match and carry on.

Channels pausing in the evening? Five checks that usually fix it

• Connection: use an Ethernet cable, or move closer to the router on 5 GHz Wi-Fi; 2.4 GHz through several walls is the usual weak spot.
• Home traffic: hold off console updates, large downloads and cloud backups while you watch.
• Player: where the app has a buffer setting, raise it one step, and leave hardware decoding on unless a single channel acts up.
• Picture: switch on frame-rate matching if the device has it, so camera pans look smooth.
• Channel: if one copy of a channel stalls, open another copy in the same folder and tell us which one failed.

Common Firestick errors and how to fix them

Install unknown apps is missing

That missing switch points to Vega OS, found on the 4K Select and the newest HD stick. Nothing in the menus unlocks it. Move the MoviraTivi login to a Fire OS stick, to a Google TV streamer or to a player on the TV itself.

Downloader shows an error on the code

Compare the code with our message one character at a time, then confirm the Downloader switch is still on. Parental filters on some routers stop app downloads, so a quick test over your phone hotspot settles it. Expired codes happen; ask us and a new one follows.

Login rejected

Start with the server field: http:// first, port number last, nothing trailing. Retype the password manually, since a pasted one can carry an invisible space. A trial or plan that has ended also fails, since MoviraTivi plans do not renew by themselves.

Country folders are missing or empty

The first sync may still be running in the background, so give it a few minutes and reopen the app. In TiViMate, update the playlist under Settings, Playlists. In Smarters or iMPlayer, sign out and back in. Also check you did not hide those groups by mistake.

Motion looks jerky on some channels

A UK channel at 50 fps on a stick locked to 60 Hz gives exactly this stutter. Switch Match Original Frame Rate on in the Fire TV display menu, and set the player to auto frame rate where that option exists.

Picture freezes every few minutes

Add one step of buffer in the player, get onto Ethernet or the 5 GHz network, and hold off on large downloads around the house. A stick that runs hot behind the TV can also stall, so use the HDMI extender. If only one channel does it, tell our team which one.

One TV stops when another starts

You have reached the screen limit on your plan. Close the player on any idle device and wait a minute before trying again. If your home regularly needs more screens at once, choose a bigger plan when you next renew.
