MoviraTivi on LG Smart TV: 11 steps from install to your favorite home channels

1. Check your webOS version

   Open All Settings, then General and About This TV, or Support and TV Information on some years. Version 3.0 and newer run today's players well. Older NetCast sets only take an outdated Smart IPTV build, and a small HDMI streamer gives those TVs a far better experience.

2. Sign in to your LG account in Apps

   Press Home and choose Apps, labeled LG Content Store on older firmware. Downloads need an LG account, and creating it on a phone is faster. Aim the Magic Remote at the magnifier and enter the player name.

3. Install the player that suits your set

   IPTV Smarters Pro is the first one to try: free, Xtream-ready and organized into categories, although a handful of regions lack it. On older, slower LG chips Smart IPTV feels lighter. Once its trial ends, its developer asks 5.49 EUR once per television, for the app alone.

4. Link the app to your MoviraTivi account

   Smarters needs the Xtream Codes API option; copy the three lines from WhatsApp into the server, username and password boxes. For Smart IPTV, note the MAC address on screen, open siptv.app/mylist on your phone, enter the MAC and paste the M3U link, then restart the app.

5. Set the clock and let the guide load

   The first launch downloads every live folder and the program guide, which can take a few minutes on older LG chips. While you wait, set the TV clock to automatic under All Settings, General, System, Time and Date. A wrong clock makes every guide entry look an hour off.

6. Use the Magic Remote to reach your country

   Inside Smarters, go to Live TV and aim the pointer at the category column. Spinning the wheel scrolls fast. Folders start with the country, so the USA, Canada and UK groups are easy to find, each split into news, entertainment, kids and sport, with English and French groups for Canada.

7. Favorite the channels you know

   Mark your weekly channels as favorites: local news, the big networks, something for the kids, a film channel. Ten or so is plenty. The Favorites group then opens straight to your own lineup instead of a list in the thousands.

8. Look at Spanish and international folders

   If you also watch in Spanish or another language, scroll past the North American and UK groups to the Spanish-language and international folders. Favorite a few there too. Mixed-language homes often keep two short lists, one per person, on separate devices.

9. Choose a picture mode for live channels

   Most LG sets offer a motion setting called TruMotion, or similar, in the picture menu. A low level smooths camera pans on live channels; a high level can look artificial. Try Standard against your usual mode on a news channel and a film, then keep whichever looks natural to you.

10. Keep the line steady

    Wiring the TV to the router helps live channels more than any setting. Over Wi-Fi, stay on 5 GHz. Standby on webOS never really empties memory, so pull the plug for sixty seconds about once a week, then open the player and let a channel run briefly to settle.

11. Use the same login elsewhere

    Phones, tablets and other TVs take the same details. Up to five can stream together, depending on your plan, so two rooms can watch different channels. Each device keeps its own favorites and Smart IPTV activation, while the guide and any catch-up belong to the login.

LG player choices and the honest limits of webOS

LG curates its store itself, region by region. Our October 2026 check found IPTV Smarters Pro across many countries and Smart IPTV almost everywhere. A few IBO-type players are listed as well, pairing through the TV MAC address plus a key you enter on their site. We did not find iMPlayer in the LG store, and TiViMate has never been released for webOS. Because listings move, no app is guaranteed for a particular model; tell our WhatsApp team your webOS version and we will check today's options.

Where the country folders and favorites sit on LG Smart TV

Software updates sometimes rename these menus. Treat the paths as directions, and if your screen shows a slightly different word, pick the nearest match and carry on.

Channels pausing in the evening? Five checks that usually fix it

• Connection: use an Ethernet cable, or move closer to the router on 5 GHz Wi-Fi; 2.4 GHz through several walls is the usual weak spot.
• Home traffic: hold off console updates, large downloads and cloud backups while you watch.
• Player: where the app has a buffer setting, raise it one step, and leave hardware decoding on unless a single channel acts up.
• Picture: switch on frame-rate matching if the device has it, so camera pans look smooth.
• Channel: if one copy of a channel stalls, open another copy in the same folder and tell us which one failed.

Common LG Smart TV errors and how to fix them

Sound but no picture

The TV cannot decode that stream. Update the app, then look in its settings for another decoder or player engine. If a single channel always fails while the others work, send our team its name.

The Apps store lists no players

LG filters the catalog by the country chosen on the TV. Fix that region in the general settings and look again. If players are still absent, send our team the webOS version, or plug in a streaming stick.

Live TV opens to a blank screen

The first run of a big lineup is slow. Give it time and relaunch. If the screen is still empty, delete the Smarters profile and recreate it with the Xtream details; categories fill more dependably that way than from a playlist link.

Login refused in Smarters

Aiming a pointer at small keys makes typos easy. Type the server once more, http:// first and port last, and watch capital letters in the password. A finished trial or plan is refused too; MoviraTivi never renews by itself.

Channels freeze often

Fix the connection first, since Ethernet or 5 GHz changes most. Quit apps running in the background, hold off household downloads and power the set off at the wall briefly. A channel that still freezes on its own should be reported to us.

The guide is an hour out

The TV clock or time zone is wrong. Set automatic time under All Settings, General, System, Time and Date, then restart the player so the guide reloads correctly.

Stuck on the splash screen

Memory left over from standby is the usual cause. Cut the power for a minute and retry. Should it hang again, update the player through Apps, or remove it, install it fresh and add your MoviraTivi login again.
