What you need before opening TiViMate
- Any Google TV, Android TV or Fire OS hardware (a Google TV Streamer, a Fire TV Stick 4K Max or a similar box)
- Your MoviraTivi login: server line, username and password
- A cable or 5 GHz Wi-Fi connection on the TV
- An Android phone with the TiViMate Companion app, only if you want Premium

Install TiViMate on the TV device
Google TV and Android TV owners find TiviMate IPTV Player in Google Play; the download is free and extras are sold in-app. Fire TV sticks get it through the Downloader app instead. Samsung, LG and Apple TV have no TiViMate, so use Smarters or iMPlayer there with the same login.
Choose Add playlist, then Xtream Codes
Open the app and select Add playlist. Pick Xtream Codes as the type. Enter the server address exactly as our message shows it, including http:// and the port number, then the username and password. TiViMate checks the account and shows how many channels it found.
Decide what to import
TiViMate asks whether to include live channels, movies and series. Keep live channels on. Add movies and series if you want the 120,000+ library in the same app; leave them off for a faster load on a small stick. Name the playlist MoviraTivi and finish.
Let the guide load the first time
The first load fetches channels and listings together, so give it a minute or two before you start scrolling. Guide data comes through the Xtream login itself, so you do not need a separate EPG link. Later launches open from a saved copy.
Open the folder list
While a channel plays, press OK to show the channel list, then press left to see the folders. The USA, Canada and UK folders come first, then Spanish-language and international ones. Each country is split by type, such as news, networks, sport, kids and entertainment.
Hide the folders you never watch
In Settings, open Playlists, choose MoviraTivi and look for the option to manage groups. Hide the countries and genres you never open. The list gets much shorter and you can unhide anything later. Wording may differ slightly between versions.
Favorite your home channels
Long-press OK on a channel and choose Add to favorites. A Favorites folder then appears at the top of the list. Put in your local news, the national networks you follow and a few family channels. A short list makes TiViMate feel like your old cable box.
Read the guide grid
Open TV guide from the main menu to see a timeline for each folder. Use it to plan the evening or check when a show starts. If times look shifted, check the time zone on the device itself, then reload the guide from Settings.
Set the buffer size
Under Settings, Playback, Buffer size, a larger buffer holds more video in reserve, which helps on Wi-Fi, but each channel takes a little longer to start. Start in the middle. Go one step higher only if channels still pause; on a cable, a small buffer is usually enough.
Turn on auto frame rate if you have Premium
Auto frame rate lets the TV switch its refresh rate to match each channel, which smooths camera pans. Current versions list it as a Premium feature, and both the TV and the streaming device must support switching. You find it under Settings, Playback.
Try another decoder for one stubborn channel
If one channel shows a black screen with sound, or stutters while others are fine, try the other decoder in Playback settings. Hardware decoding is the right default. You can also open another version of the same channel in that folder.
Buy Premium only if you need it
The free version covers live channels and the guide. Premium layers on extras: multi-view, recording, catch-up, extra playlists, favorites tools and auto frame rate. You can only buy it in TiViMate Companion, an Android phone app, and each Premium account unlocks as many as five devices.

TiViMate Premium: price, devices and whether you need it
TiViMate Premium is a paid upgrade to the player, not a channel package. In October 2026 the US Google Play listing showed in-app items from $0.99 to $33.99, and the exact Premium options and prices depend on your country, so check the Companion app before you pay. Buy only from the Companion app; cracked builds and resold licences can carry malware and expose your login. MoviraTivi never sells or bundles player licences.
Many people never upgrade, and that is a perfectly good choice. If you want two channels side by side, recording or auto frame rate, Premium earns its keep. Channels pausing in the evening? Five checks that usually fix it
- Connection: use an Ethernet cable, or move closer to the router on 5 GHz Wi-Fi; 2.4 GHz through several walls is the usual weak spot.
- Home traffic: hold off console updates, large downloads and cloud backups while you watch.
- Player: where the app has a buffer setting, raise it one step, and leave hardware decoding on unless a single channel acts up.
- Picture: switch on frame-rate matching if the device has it, so camera pans look smooth.
- Channel: if one copy of a channel stalls, open another copy in the same folder and tell us which one failed.

Common TiViMate errors and how to fix them
TiViMate cannot connect to the playlist
Check the end of the server line first; a missing port number is the usual cause. Key the password in with the remote rather than pasting. Then confirm your plan or trial is still active.
A country folder has vanished
You may have hidden it. Open Settings, Playlists, MoviraTivi and review the hidden groups. If it is not listed, update the playlist from the same menu so the latest lineup loads.
Black screen with sound
The device cannot decode that version of the channel. Switch decoder in Playback settings, or open another version of the channel in the same folder.
Channels keep pausing to load
Raise Buffer size one step, use a cable if you can and stop large downloads in the house. If only one channel pauses, use its other version and let support know.
Auto frame rate is greyed out
Current releases keep it for Premium users, and refresh-rate switching has to work on both the television and the streamer. Check the display settings of the stick or box as well.
Favorites point to channels that do not play
After a lineup update, a favorite can point to an entry that moved. Remove it from Favorites and add the current version from your country folder.
Premium is required to add a second playlist
The free version holds one playlist. One MoviraTivi playlist already contains every channel and folder, so you rarely need a second one.

Do I have to pay for TiViMate?
No, the basic app is free on Google Play and covers live channels and the TV guide. TiViMate Premium is an optional paid upgrade bought in the Companion app. Neither version includes channels; those come from a provider such as MoviraTivi, priced from $15 for one month on a single screen.
What does TiViMate Premium add?
Premium unlocks features such as multi-view, recording, catch-up, several playlists, favorites management and auto frame rate. A single Premium account unlocks up to five devices. Prices vary by country and change over time, so check the Companion app. Premium is a player upgrade only; your MoviraTivi channels are the same with or without it.
Will TiViMate run on Samsung, LG or Apple TV?
No. TiViMate targets Android TV, Google TV and Fire OS only. On Samsung or LG TVs, use a player from the TV store or add a streaming stick. On Apple TV, iMPlayer or Smarters Player Lite take the same MoviraTivi login.
How do I get US, Canadian or UK channels to the top in TiViMate?
Two ways work together. Hide the folders you never use under Settings, Playlists, MoviraTivi, so the USA, Canada or UK folders sit near the top. Then long-press your everyday channels and add them to favorites. Favorites always appear first in the list.
Are channels included with TiViMate?
None at all. TiViMate plays what you load into it, and Premium unlocks tools rather than content. MoviraTivi, or whichever provider you choose, supplies the channels. Steer clear of anyone selling a TiViMate licence packaged with channels, and of cracked builds, which may hide malware or leak your login.
Can I get TiViMate on my phone?
No. TiViMate is made for televisions and remote controls. The Companion phone app exists only to manage Premium. On Android phones use IPTV Smarters Pro or iMPlayer, and on iPhone use iMPlayer or Smarters Player Lite. Each device that plays counts against your MoviraTivi screen limit.
