Xtream Codes login setup: 12 steps from install to your favorite home channels

1. Locate the Xtream sign-in button

   In Smarters it is the button Login with Xtream Codes API. In TiViMate and iMPlayer, choose Add playlist and pick Xtream Codes. Other apps say XC, Xtream or API login. If an app only asks for a playlist URL, use the M3U playlist guide instead.

2. Get the server line exactly right

   Expect a shape like http://server.example.com:8080: http:// at the start, then a colon and a port number to close. Leave nothing after the port, no slash and no space. This one box causes the majority of refused logins, so read it back twice.

3. Add username and password

   Copy both exactly from our message. Capital and small letters count as different characters. If the app asks for a profile name, use something simple like Kitchen TV or the name of the person who watches there.

4. Let the first sync run

   The player now asks our server for the folder list, the channels inside each folder and the TV guide. On a small stick this can take a minute or two. Leave the remote alone. After that, the app opens from a saved copy within seconds.

5. See where the folders come from

   An Xtream player asks the server for live categories and then for the channels in each one. That is why the MoviraTivi folders look the same in every app: USA, Canada and UK first, then Spanish-language and international folders, each country split into news, networks, sport, kids and entertainment.

6. Open your country and favorite channels

   Go to the live section, open your home-country folder and play a channel to check it. Then save it as a favorite with whatever your app offers: a long press, a heart or a star. A favorites list of ten to fifteen channels makes daily viewing quick.

7. Use the guide that comes with the login

   Listings arrive with the Xtream sign-in, so most apps show now and next without any extra setup. If times look wrong, check the time zone on the device. A blank row in the guide does not always mean the channel is off; tune in to check.

8. Open catch-up where it exists

   Some channels keep a short archive, which Xtream apps show as catch-up or replay. How far back it goes depends on the channel. It is useful for a missed evening news bulletin, but not every channel offers it.

9. Remember that settings stay on each device

   Favorites, hidden folders, buffer choices and watch history are stored by the app on that device. They do not travel with your MoviraTivi account. A new TV starts empty, so rebuild your short list on each screen.

10. Switch stream format for a difficult channel

    Xtream servers can send live channels as MPEG-TS or HLS. Some apps let you choose in settings. If one channel misbehaves on your device, switching format is a quick test. Switch back if nothing changes.

11. Use the same login on other devices

    Enter the same three details on a phone, laptop or second TV. You can install as many times as you like; your plan limits only how many screens play at once, from 1 to 5. Two people watching in two rooms need a two-screen plan or larger.

12. Guard the three details

    Pin the WhatsApp message or save the login in a password manager. Whoever holds it can fill your screens and knock you off mid-show. Keep it out of forums and group chats. Suspect a leak? Ask us and we change the password.

Players that accept an Xtream Codes login

Each app in this table accepts one and the same MoviraTivi login and shows identical country folders. They differ in the devices they support and the extras they add.

Xtream Codes began as a panel product for providers and stopped operating in 2019, yet its sign-in format lives on in today's players. Each developer documents its own login screen online, for example the TiViMate website. MoviraTivi has no app of its own, so any of these players is the front door to your account, and switching between them never costs you anything on our side.

Channels pausing in the evening? Five checks that usually fix it

• Connection: use an Ethernet cable, or move closer to the router on 5 GHz Wi-Fi; 2.4 GHz through several walls is the usual weak spot.
• Home traffic: hold off console updates, large downloads and cloud backups while you watch.
• Player: where the app has a buffer setting, raise it one step, and leave hardware decoding on unless a single channel acts up.
• Picture: switch on frame-rate matching if the device has it, so camera pans look smooth.
• Channel: if one copy of a channel stalls, open another copy in the same folder and tell us which one failed.

Common Xtream Codes login errors and how to fix them

There is only an M3U box

No problem. The same WhatsApp message holds an M3U link for this account. Paste that and follow the M3U playlist guide.

Right password but still refused

Look at the server line: no http://, the wrong port, or a slash tacked on after it explains nearly every refusal. If that is fine, see whether your plan has ended; plans never renew on their own.

Channels load but the guide is empty

Listings arrive a little after the channel list. Give it a few minutes and reload the guide. Still blank? Log out, then log back in.

Too many connections

You have reached your screen limit. End playback somewhere else, or allow about sixty seconds for an abandoned session to close. A paused channel still counts, so close apps fully.

The server box rejects the address

Some apps want the host and port in separate fields. Type the host on its own in the server box and just the digits in the port box, with no trailing slash.

The opening sync is taking forever

Sorting thousands of channels plus their listings stretches a small stick. Let it complete undisturbed; afterwards the app starts from its stored copy in seconds.

Folders changed overnight

Lineup updates can rename or reorder folders on our side. Refresh the playlist in the player. If a favorite stopped working, remove it and add the current version from your country folder.
