Choose the sign-in route for each box
A MAG has one route: a portal that MoviraTivi ties to its MAC code. A Formuler has two. MyTVOnline can open the same kind of portal, or it can sign in with a server, username and password. Tell us which route you want in your first WhatsApp message, and we send the matching details.
Photograph the MAC sticker for us
Flip the box and take a picture of the sticker carrying the MAC. A MAG also lists it on its device information screen. Sending a picture avoids typos, since 0 and O are easy to confuse on a small label. We link the code to your account, usually within 15 minutes.
Type the portal into a MAG
From the MAG home screen, open Settings, then the server or portal section. Name portal 1 MoviraTivi and type our link exactly, including any slash at the end. Save and restart the box. From now on the portal loads every time you switch on. Older firmware words these menus a little differently.
Add the connection in MyTVOnline on a Formuler
Open MyTVOnline and add a new connection. Portal users type the link we sent. Xtream users switch the connection type and fill in server, username and password. Because a Formuler runs Android underneath, you can later add TiViMate or iMPlayer with the very same details.
Open Live TV and read the folder list
Go to Live TV, which some portals call TV or Channels. A list of folders appears down one side. MoviraTivi puts each home country first, so look for the USA, Canada and UK folders before the Spanish-language and international ones. Read the whole list once so you know the layout.
Open your home-country folders
Inside the USA folders you find networks, cable channels, news and local channels for a selection of markets. Canada carries English and French channels. The UK folders hold the main terrestrial and pay channels in the lineup. What airs on each depends on what the broadcaster sends us.
Favorite the channels you watch every week
Highlight a channel and press the favorites key shown in the on-screen hints, often a colored button. In MyTVOnline, hold OK and choose a favorites group. Keep it to ten or fifteen channels, so the list opens fast and nobody in the house has to scroll.
Use search or channel numbers to jump
With 25,000+ channels on the server, arrow keys alone are slow. Most MAG portals let you type a channel number on the remote, and many have a search option. MyTVOnline puts search at the top of its list. Note the numbers of your favorite news and network channels.
Check the TV guide for your time zone
Open the program guide from the channel list for the current and upcoming programs. Make sure the box clock shows your own time zone, whether that is Eastern, Pacific, Toronto or London time, or listings will look an hour or more off.
Set the picture output once
Under the video or display settings, set the output to your TV resolution. Newer MAG firmware and current Formuler models can switch frame rate automatically to match each channel. Turn that on if you see it. Picture quality is 4K, FHD or HD; 4K appears only on channels where the broadcaster supplies it.
Add a second box or another screen
A portal belongs to one MAC code, so a second MAG needs its own activation from us. Phones, sticks and TVs can use the Xtream details instead. How many devices may stream together depends on your plan (1, 2, 3 or 5). Tell us before the new device goes live.

Channels pausing in the evening? Five checks that usually fix it
- Connection: use an Ethernet cable, or move closer to the router on 5 GHz Wi-Fi; 2.4 GHz through several walls is the usual weak spot.
- Home traffic: hold off console updates, large downloads and cloud backups while you watch.
- Player: where the app has a buffer setting, raise it one step, and leave hardware decoding on unless a single channel acts up.
- Picture: switch on frame-rate matching if the device has it, so camera pans look smooth.
- Channel: if one copy of a channel stalls, open another copy in the same folder and tell us which one failed.

Common MAG and Formuler box errors and how to fix them
Portal shows a blank page or STB blocked
Either we are still activating the box, or one character of the MAC was read wrong. WhatsApp us a clearer picture of the sticker. With the correct code saved, a restart usually brings the portal up within minutes.
My country folder is missing
Restart so the portal fetches a fresh channel list, then wait a minute. Folder names can change after a lineup update, so scroll the full list. Still missing? Message support and we refresh your line from our side.
Black screen, audio still playing
That copy of the channel uses a format the box cannot decode. Plenty of channels appear twice or more in one folder, so pick the FHD or HD copy instead. Older MAG hardware almost always behaves after that.
Channels stall in the evening
Use a cable instead of Wi-Fi, restart the router and pause big downloads elsewhere in the house. The network page on a MAG shows whether the box has an address. If one channel keeps stalling, try its other version and tell us which one.
The guide shows the wrong time
MAG boxes set their clock from a time server. Go to system settings, set the NTP server to pool.ntp.org, choose your time zone, then reboot. Listings then line up with your local clock again.
Movement looks jerky on some channels
The box output does not match the channel frame rate. Switch on auto frame-rate switching where the firmware offers it. If not, set the resolution to suit your TV and leave the refresh rate on Auto.

Will a MAG box ask me for a password?
No. The box proves who it is with its MAC code, so after MoviraTivi activates that code you type just the portal link. On a Formuler you may use that portal too, or enter Xtream details. Both routes open the same channels, including the USA, Canada and UK folders.
How do I find my home channels on an IPTV box?
